We provide training on the modules in Residency Management Suite (RMS), how to prepare for a new academic year, and more. The Block Schedule displays information about residents and fellows rotating to different services throughout the year. Hospitals and clinic sites rely on the block schedule to be able to plan for your trainees arrival and to ensure they have a successful rotation. The block schedule impacts the finance module which is used for billing and reimbursement. It also feeds information into other modules such as evaluations, curriculum, work hours, and more. Due to the importance of block schedule, this training is required!

The Curriculum module offers you a place to store rotation goals and objectives, and provides the ability to distribute them to residents and fellows prior to their scheduled rotations. The program administrators are able to generate confirmation reports and use them as a method for documenting the trainees have received the goals and objectives, and that they have read and understand them prior to the start of the rotation.

The Portfolio Review is designed to contain and organize evidence of learning and that trainees are working towards goals and objectives set by their program. Program administrators can configure the module to capture the information their program uses for reviews. Reviews gather trainee performance data from many areas of the software to facilitate semi-annual Program Director reviews and quarterly Advisor Reviews. It offers customized performance feedback and centralized Portfolio Review Management. Some of the reporting areas include Evaluations, Milestones, Procedure Logger, Schedules, Personnel, Curriculum, Duty Hours, Conferences and Scholarly Activities. Only people with the work role of Resident can be scheduled for a Portfolio Review and the reviews only pull data for the resident's current program.

This module tracks information about procedures performed by learners in your program. Procedure Logger, Log Books and Continuity Clinic are all included in this module. Procedure Logger is designed to help track information about procedures performed by learners in your program. Log Books can be used to gather data not collected by other modules. The Continuity Clinics feature is used to track and report on patient visits, including associated diagnoses and procedures. Supervisors are able to pass or not pass patient visits that residents record. After this training session you will be able successfully create and manage procedure logger, run reports and more.

The Work Hours module collects and reports on learner's work hours. After configuring the work hour rules and setting up the basic options, the software will check work hour logs for rule violations. The work hours checking by rotation is based on the ACGME Policies and Procedures Work Hour Policy IV.A.2. This training is designed to provide instruction in Work Hour review and rule tracking using RMS. MMCGME residency and fellowship programs use the RMS Work Hour module to track resident activities for GME payment and reimbursement. This training also focuses on additional ways to use the information stored in the Work Hours module for program purposes.

According to the ACGME, programs and institutions are required to have Program Letters of Agreement (PLA) in place if they send residents to other locations to train. The agreement defines the relationships between programs and sites that participate in Graduate Medical Education. The Agreements module is a resource for GME and program administrators to store and track agreements. Currently, we do not have a training session pertaining to agreements.
