VENUE & CATERING INFORMATION
The Hennepin is a 501(c)(3)nonprofit event center located in the heart of the Hennepin Theatre District in downtown Minneapolis. All profits from events at The Hennepin support Hennepin Theatre Trust’s artistic and educational programs. When you host an event at The Hennepin, you can take pride in the fact that your hard-earned money is being used to benefit the community and sustain the arts in Minneapolis and across Minnesota. Every day, the Hennepin Theatre Trust works to foster community connections through the arts across Minnesota. Our historic Orpheum, State and Pantages theatres light up Hennepin Avenue with the best of Broadway and top-tier live entertainment. Annually, the Trust serves more than 8,000 high school students statewide and brings nearly 600,000 people to the Hennepin Theatre District to experience art on the street and stage.
Breaking Bread is an enterprise of Appetite For Change. Appetite For Change (AFC) was founded in 2011 to use food as a tool to build health, wealth, and social change in North Minneapolis. Tasha Powell, Michelle Horovitz, and Princess Haley, AFC’s founders, were determined to grow an organization centered on the needs and wishes of the community. Breaking Bread is cooking and distributing over 5,000 fresh meals each week to ensure that our neighbors and healthcare workers have access to nourishing food. This is possible through our partnerships with Minnesota Central Kitchen and numerous community organizations.
